Sonic: The Apocalypse

(Oooooooo. And I thought you said they couldn't use weapons..? I would change that original post to say they could)

Horus climbed up a search tower. He pulled out a pair of binoculars and looked around, spotting something in the distance. Horus kept looking as he pulled out his radio. "King, prepare the troops, I think we have company."

(BLEH I meant like modern weapons. I should of made it more clear sorry :C)

The one with the crossbow spotted a figure and grunted. It fired the arrow streaking through the air towards the tower. It would probably fall short but still.. More arrows were suddenly fired and the horde began to march on.

(Lol it's fine, that makes more sense now)

Horus ducked behind the wall as a swarm of arrows flew towards the tower. He heard them ping against the side of the metal tower and watched a couple fly right over the wall. "Get out here now! They're firing at us!"

King started yelling out orders to the Vortex Army and they all started scrambling around, equipping themselves with weapons and armor.

(And it begins >:D)

The horde kept firing arrows relentlessly as the marched on. The sand had stopped blowing now and they could be seen. A scary site at best. The front line had large metal shields to protect themselves and the ones behind held shield over their heads at an angle to stop projectiles hitting an behind them. Not that they would be much use anyway against guns.

Horus pulled his assault rifle off of his back and waited for a pause in between the arrows flying over the walls of the tower. Horus got to his feet and quickly aimed down the sights at the approaching army. "What in the world?!" He quickly shot off a couple shots to into the army before ducking behind the protective wall again. Horus pulled out his radio, "They look like they're dead!"

The Vortex Army started filtering out of the barracks. The soldiers started opening fire on the army. King threw a grenade into the group of undead. Roxas ran around, planning on sneaking up behind the army and taking them out with his swords.

The horde suddenly stopped as a few shots pinged off the shield and some went into the bodies. One shuffled forwards towards the grenade picking it up and examined it before it exploded ripping the corpse to pieces flesh and limbs flying everywhere, the blood splattering the shield wall. A roar and the horde began to charge at the base swords and maces and axes risen in the sky.


Dex

I saw the horde in the distance and frowned. "What the hell is that.."

King and the other Vortex soldiers started firing at the centers of the shields, trying to bring the guys carrying them down. Horus popped up and started firing at the approaching army more often, as they were aiming mostly at the Vortex soldiers below.

Roxas snuck around to the back of the zombie horde. He swung his swords, trying to kill some of the soldiers in the back of the horde.

The horde marched on bullets slamming into the shield either pinging off them or ripping through them and into the undead flesh. The odd one fell down dead as a bullet pierced it's head smashing through the skull into the brain. The others however were felt nothing as the bullets hit their bodies. One soldier fell as the swords struck the back of it's armour and others turned staring at Roxas. They charged at him.


Dex

I frowned landing about 20 feet in front of the oncoming horde. I glanced back at the base. Hopefully I wouldn't be shot.. I closed my eyes and summoned one of my swords.

(Quick question before I post, is this a sandbox type battle (at least for Roxas) or did you want to choose what/when they attack and if they get hit?)

(I'll wait for y'all to finish with dis fight before I start doing anything on here but in the mean time, have summa dis.)

Bio: Not much is known about this girl. There was a time where she was hunted relentlessly and was always chased into hiding. These days, that all seems to be behind her... for now. She isn't able to communicate verbally, although sometimes she can communicate telepathically with the people she trusts.

Buildings/Resources: Cave systems, a few primitive huts and outposts on the surface, but nothing that can't be taken down with a single rocket.
Army/Equipment: The Sirens (large tribe). Weapons are aplenty although not too effective, consisting of scavenged rifles, spears and custom-made weaponry which isn't all too reliable.

(I don't mind kill what you want :3 I just posted that cause it seemed to be flowing that way. You can choose what gets killed if you want ^_^ also cool)

(Ok, one last question, are these skeletons, or really zombies (like, with flesh and everything)?)

Roxas ducked as one of the zombies swung it's sword at him. He sliced it across the leg as he stood up, blocking an attack from another zombie, but the first zombie didn't seem to react to the cut in it's leg at all.

(Zombies. Medieval undead Resident evil type zombies :3)

The horde kept advancing.

Dex

I charged teleporting forwards and then jumped crashing into the shield wall. It was like a ripple as the undead fell down or stumbled. I began hacking and slashing away with my sword.

"Hold your fire!" King commanded into the radio, "We have people inside the horde, prepare for melee battle!"

Roxas swung his sword at the first zombie's neck. It got caught in the zombie's neck. Roxas tugged on it but couldn't get it out. He kicked the zombie in the chest, knocking it to the ground. Roxas quickly spun around, blocking a sideways sword slash before cutting a zombie's leg off, sending it falling to the ground, staining the ground red with blood. Roxas spun around, grabbed the hilt of his sword, yanked it out of the zombie's neck, and slammed his foot into the zombie's face, crushing it's skull and oozing blood and grey matter onto the ground. Roxas pulled his foot out and looked at all the blood on it, "Yuck!" Roxas quickly spun around, getting in a defensive stance as the zombies closed in around him.

Dex

Something lunged at me and tried to bite my arm. I stepped back and rammed my blade into the chest of the zombie watching it tried to bite me again. I back flipped making my sword vanish. "In that case.." I summoned ten of my Light soldiers armed with assault rifles. "Shoot those things down. Don't hit the living one though."

A zombie swung it's sword at Roxas, who simply ducked under it and watched as it cut into another zombie's torso. Roxas swung his sword down, splitting the first zombie's head in half. He let go of the sword and spun around, using the momentum of the spin to slice his other sword right through the second zombie's neck, sending it's bleeding head to the ground. Roxas grabbed the handle of the sword stuck into the headless zombie's torso before kicking the lifeless body to the ground.

Dex

I watched as my soldiers raised their rifles and began firing slowly advancing towards the horde. Bullets streamed through the air slamming into the shield piercing through them. The zombies behind were being shredded as the bullets tore through their weak flesh. The odd headshot sent them down, a lifeless husk.

The Vortex army charged towards the horde, now equipped with swords and shields.

Roxas spun around, blocking a sword with his own before stabbing the zombie's sword through the mouth of a zombie that was trying to bite him, splattering blood onto his face as the lifeless corpse fell to the blood stained ground.

Dex

I glanced back and shrugged to myself walking forwards. A zombie lunged at me with a sword. I ducked under it and slammed my fist into it's head making it rip right off.

(Whoa! Is he like super strong or are these zombies just super decayed?)

The battleground quickly transformed into a medieval battle. The clanging of metal echoed through the air, the ripping of flesh constantly sounding out, the ground staining red with all of the blood, and the lifeless corpses decorated the ground.

(Dex is strong remember It helps he trains everyday to Xp)

Dex

I spun around driving my foot into the chest of one zombie sending it flying into some other behind it. I raised my hand and fired a small ball of energy at them exploding the corpses .

(Ahhhh, right)

Roxas yanked his sword out of the head of the fallen corpse before spinning in a wide arc, using the momentum to cut a zombie's head off at the neck, sending the bleeding head to the ground, which was quickly followed by the now lifeless corpse.

The horde were quickly diminishing as one by one they fell down dead.

Dex

I roundhouse kick a zombie in the guy and then sent a small beam of energy through it's head. A tiny hole appeared but it fried whatever was inside the skull, the body crumbling to the floor a lifeless husk.

(Diminishing, you mean?)

A small swarm of zombies started closing in around Roxas. He kicked one down before slicing the legs off another. They kept closing in on him. Roxas stabbed one zombie straight through the forehead and yanked hard, causing the dead zombie to fall forwards onto the ground. Roxas spun around and stabbed a zombie in the stomach just as it was about to bite him. He used the sword to keep it away before kicking it, holding on to the sword to yank it out of it's body, but instead his grip slipped and Roxas was stuck defenseless as the zombies crept closer towards him.

Dex

I someone was being surrounded by some zombies and suddenly teleported in front of them. I curled my hands into fists and swung shattering more skulls. I unleashed a small barrage of energy blasts at what was remaining, the explosions kicking up sand and dust along with limbs flying.
