Sonic: The Apocalypse

"Whoa!" Roxas looked around at the now dead corpses all around him, "Uh, thanks." He pried his swords out of the zombies, getting ready to attack the last of the zombies.

Dex

I grinned nodding and turned around to face what was left. Fifty were now reduced to a mere ten. I rose my hand and fired another beam of energy disintegrating three. Make that seven.

The Vortex Army quickly killed three more. There were four zombies left.

Roxas charged forwards, kicking a zombie to the ground before swing one of his swords into the side of a zombie's head, sending it to the ground, dead. "Three." Roxas swung his sword down, cutting a zombie's head in half, but getting the sword caught. "Two," A Vortex soldier brought a sword down through the head of the zombie laying on the ground, "Make that one." Roxas ran towards the last zombie and jumped up, planting his foot onto it's chest and pushed off, sending the zombie to the ground and himself higher into the air. Roxas did a frontflip as he fell back to the ground, using the momentum and gravity to slice his sword straight through the zombie's head and straight into the ground.

Dex

I watched the person killing the last three. He certainly knew how to use a sword.

"Ok, I think that was the last of them." King's voice was heard on the radio.

Roxas sheathed his swords and walked over to Dex. "Hey, uh, thanks for the help back there."

Dex

I nodded slightly, my soldiers vanishing. I eyed Roxas up and down and then grinned. "No problem"

"But who are you? Why are you here?" Roxas asked.

Dex

I frowned slightly thinking if I should tell him or not but what harm could it do. "The name is Dex. As for why I'm here, I was scouting when I felt an evil aura coming from here."

"The... Dead things..? Where did they come from, anyways?" Roxas asked.

Dex

I shrugged. "My guess would be from one of the leaders of a territory. Someone who is more or less pure evil and of course a Necromancer.. which in turn could spell trouble for a lot of people. An army of undead like those or worse.."

(Haha, "spell" )

"Great... How can we stop someone like that?" Roxas mumbled.

On the battlefield, Vortex Soldiers were clearing away the dead.

Dex

I shrugged and glanced around.

Horus walked over to Dex and Roxas. "Who is this? Did he start this all?" He put his hand on his gun, ready to attack or defend himself at a moments notice.

Dex

My eyes snapped to Horus and I raised and eyebrow. "If I did this don't you think I would of killed you by now, or better yet why would I destroy my own soldiers?"

"Ignore him, he doesn't have any manners" Roxas said to Dex.
"Shut up!" Horus glared at Roxas before looking Dex up and down. "So then, why are you here?"
"He was scouting and saw the dead things and attacked them."
"Fine.. But King will want to meet you, come on." Horus said, nodding his head towards the main Vortex Base.

Dex

I frowned. "If you say so.." I sighed slightly and started walking.

The group quickly reached the Vortex base.

"King, we found somebody on the battlefield and thought you might want to talk to him," Horus said.
"His name is Dex, he said he found his way here because he was scouting and saw the enemy army." Roxas told him.
"Thank you, you two may leave. Dex, you can take a seat anywhere you'd like," King said as he sat on a chair, watching him.
Horus and Roxas quickly left the room.

Dex

I sat down. "Thanks." I eyed King running my eyes over him. So he was in charge here then..

"I'm sorry for any inconvenience my men or I may have been to you, we just aren't used to people showing up who aren't trying to kill us anymore," King said, looking Dex up and down. "But you don't seem like you're here to attack us, do you?" He asked no one in particular. "So, do you know anything about what just happened here? Do you know where those things came from?"

Dex

I shook my head shrugging. "Once again I'm afraid I must say I don't. I can only think it's from another territory that is under the influence of an evil being of pure darkness. A Necromancer at that.."

"Okay.." King said before staying quiet for a couple seconds. "So where are you from?" He asked.

Dex

"I'm from Far Reach.. you may of heard of it?"

"I have not.. Is that near here? Are the people there friendly? Can we consider them allies?" King asked.

Dex

I smiled slowly and then laughed. "It's a few miles away from here maybe ten or twelve and yes their friendly enough. Allies maybe? Depends on how this conversation goes doesn't it?" I look up and grinned staring at his eyes. Who I was should now be apparent.

"Hmmmm... I'm surprised we didn't know about it.. How are you guys faring against the bigger territories? Have they attacked you at all?" King asked, obviously not recognizing Dex for who he really was.
