Sonic: The Apocalypse

I nodded. "Anything to help out"

"Okay, I'll get the troops ready for training." Horus replied before walking off.

(Mind skipping a day to the moment before the leave for the mission?)

(No problem :3)

Dex

I nodded following.

(TIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEE SKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP)

(Just curious, but are either of you guys introverts?)

Horus brought the troops together for a training session with Dex. By the next day, everyone was geared up and ready for the mission.

(I don't think I am no.. why?)

Dex

I looked around waiting.

(I am, so I was just curious as to if either of you guys are too)

"Thanks to you," King said as he faced Dex, "the troops are all confident in fighting teleporting enemies.  We're about to head out now, are you ready?"

(Oh, so I'm thinking of writing a story(/book?))

Dex

I smiled nodding. "No problem. Yeah I'm ready. Let's roll on out"

(Oo cool :O)

They all got into a few troop transport vehicles. They started driving off towards the northeast.

They arrived after a little bit and instantly saw the aftermath of the battle. Buildings were half destroyed, there was blood everywhere, corpses could be seen on the ground almost everywhere King looked, and there were body parts laying around without the rest of their bodies.

Dex

I sighed shaking my head. "Such an act of evil.. this cannot go unpunished"

The troops cautiously got out of the vehicles. "Split up and look for survivors, and use your radios if anything happens." King instructed the troops as he exited the transport vehicle.

Dex

I hopped out and frowned. "Time to get looking.."

(But yeah, I just need to finish writing up some of the characters, write out an outline, and then I'm gonna start it.)

King approached Dex, "Me and you will go together." They started approaching the destroyed buildings, looking for any signs of survivors.

(Where's Dan, by the way?)

(Oo sweet. and I have no idea :/)

Dex

I nodded following. "This certainly looks like Dark Beings handy work.."

(Yikes!  You were on late!  That's about 5 AM there, right?  Did you stay up, wake up in the "middle of the night," or get up early?)

King stopped as he felt his foot get stuck in something.  He bent down and looked at the goop around his shoe, "Dark ooze...  It was definitely Dark Beings.." He pulled his foot out and started looking around more cautiously.

(But yeah, I'll post each chapter on here as I write it.  It'll kind of be like the Hunger Games in some aspects, but I'm trying for something different, and possibly darker (at least compared to the first one.. I'm not big on "happy" endings in stories) I still don't know what I'm going to name it, though :/)

(I can stay up late here cause I'm on holiday currently in an hotel :3) and that sounds cool :D)

Dex

I glanced around walking slowly ready for anything that may appear.

(That's still crazy, though! I mean, 5 AM! Oh well, at least you get to sleep in haha. So do you have any ideas for a name for a story? It's kind of like Hunger Games meets high-tech ancient rome (gladiator battles))

King suddenly stopped, putting his hand in front of Dex, causing him to stop, and his finger in front of his lips. King waited for a couple seconds before hearing a whimper from inside the rubble of a building next to him. King's eyes grew wide as he pulled out his communicator, "I think we have someone over here! Bring medical supplies!" He quickly put it back away and climbed into the rubble of the building, tearing it away and making his way to the noise.

I suddenly was at his side and began to move large pieces of rubble.

(I'll try to think of one :3)

"Help..." King heard a faint female voice under the rocks.
"Hold on, we're going to get you out of there!" King tore away some more rocks, finding grey fur covered in blood. He started tearing the rocks away even faster, quickly uncovering the rest of her body. King looked in horror at the grey fox laying on the ground. Her clothes were stained red with blood and her hair looked red, though King could see that it was actually blonde in some strands. King started helping her to her feet and she started whimpering in pain as she felt the severity of her wounds and bruises.

Dex

I stepped forwards and looked the person over.

A couple of Vortex soldiers rushed over.  "I'm a medic, let me see her!" A black bat rushed over to King and the cat.  The bat took one look at her and his calm expression changed into one of fear and sadness.  "We're going to have to get her back to the hospital at the base, ASAP!" He placed down a stretcher and motioned for King to help him lay her down on it.
"Wait... No..." The cat started to struggle as King and the medic started to pick up the stretcher.
"Miss, please calm down, you need medical attention"
"No!" She reached towards the collapsed building, struggling to get away while tears streamed down her face, "Peter!"
"Miss, we're looking for other people, but you need to calm down, you need medical attention"
"My brother!  I can't leave him! Peter!" She struggled more before rolling off the side of the stretcher, landing on the ground with a grunt before starting to crawl back towards the collapsed building.
"Miss, please," The medic and King laid down the stretcher before picking the cat back up and placing her back on it, carrying her away again.
"Peter! No!  Let me go!  I have to find him!  Peter!" The cat kicked and screamed as they carried her away, tears streaming down her face.
King's eyes started watering as they got closer to a transport vehicle. They placed her down and immediately sedated her.
"No! I need to save him... Please..."
King had to wipe the tears away from his eyes before returning to the collapsed building. The soldiers were already tearing apart the rubble looking for any other survivors.

(That was hard to write...)

Dex

I curled my hands into fists and shook with anger. If ever met Sauron I'm going to put my fist through his skull. I turn back to the rubble and begin to hurl giant pieces away in anger trying to find any survivors.

(Yeah.. That came out a bit better (read: more emotional) than I thought it was going to be..)

Dex quickly uncovered another Mobian in the rubble, a young male cat with dark grey fur.  
"Move!  Move!"  The black medic bat yelled as he pushed his way through the soldiers and knelt down beside the cat.  The bat put his fingers on the cat's neck, checking for a pulse.  No one made a sound, waiting for the medic to respond.  The medic slowly turned towards the group and shook his head gently.  
"Peter..." King sighed under his breath, a tear making it's way down his face.

(Well, the good news is I can write sad scenes... That could come in handy for my story...)

(Edit: Just submitted my digitally colored keyblade to DA. It didn't come out the way I really wanted it to, but I'll try for more realism on my next piece, which will hopefully be done in a better way)

I shook again with anger and hatred cursing under my breath. Both my eyes had gone from their bright blue to a dark crimson.

(Under the right circumstances, maybe. But on Peter, no, sorry. And thanks :) )

"L-let's keep looking," King said as he wiped the tear away from his face. Two soldiers laid Peter's body on a stretcher, bringing him over to a transport vehicle. Everyone started splitting up and looking through the rubble again.

(I don't really want to end this search until Dan tells us whether or not he wants Kathlina to be found here.)

(hooray here's actually a decent opportunity. Hopefully this ain't too out of place.)

There were a couple of small rocks which tumbled out from one of the more unstable buildings. There was a lot of rubble inside the building, however... but no noise at all coming from inside. No cries for help, either.
