Sonic: The Apocalypse

Dex

I turned around hearing something and saw some rubble tumbling down and I headed over towards.

(DAN!!! Welcome back! :D )

"What is it?" King followed behind Dex.

Another Vortex soldier who was away from the rest of the group* thought he saw some movement inside of a house that was almost completely unscathed and started heading towards it.

(*That means that nobody should know what's going on near him.)

Dex

"Rubble fell from over there.. Something may be inside." I walked slowly up the rubble and then began to remove it.

"Medic, we might have someone else down here!" King said into his communicator. He put it away and then started helping Dex remove the rubble.

The soldier approached the building cautiously, but still didn't see anything, so he started to walk inside.

There was a glow, almost like the sun, from underneath the rubble for a brief second as a large boulder was shuffled out from underneath. There wasn't anything holding on, it was like it moved itself... something was definitely under there.

"Medic! I think we have a live person!" King called into his communicator before removing more rubble, trying to help out anyone who might be underneath.

"Hello? Anyone here?" The Vortex soldier called out. Only the echo of his voice answered him.

I frowned and then grabbed a massive piece of rubble and dropped it down. "I can't see anything but someone or something is down there!"

The sound of footsteps sounded in the building.  "Wh-who's* there?!" The Vortex Soldier called out, looking around as he pulled out his gun.

(*How in the world are you supposed to stutter words that's sound comes from the second letter?  "W-who," "H-who," or "Wh-who?"  It's so weird :/  )

(You'd do it as Wh-who. It depends on what word's being said.)

There was a gloved hand... it looked almost dead, but the glowing occured once again, weaker this time. Another boulder barely moved itself.

(That makes sense, thanks.  And you would do the same for, like, ph-phonics or ph-pheonix or pn-pneumonia, right?)

"A hand!" King gasped before tearing away at the rubble about where he thought the head would be.

The Vortex Soldier was again greeted only by his echo.  "This place is giving me the creeps..."

Dex

I helped throwing large boulders away and saw the hand. "If the medic does not get here soon I'll have to try and heal her. I can only do minor wounds but still"

(DGH, WHY DID I GET SO BUSY JUST WHEN I WAS JOINING AN RP)

As one of the rocks was pulled away, part of a face could be seen. It was a closed eye, with large eyelashes and what appeared to be tears that were drying up on the cheek. There was some flinching from the eye... it looked like the person underneath really was struggling to stay alive.

"Medic!" King yelled as he kept pulling away the rocks, attempting to free the person underneath.

"Hello? Anyone there?" The soldier called out again. "Anyone there? There?" His echo called back.

Dex

I frowned and grabbed one of the large rocks that seemed to be covering most of the person. "Hang in there!"

The medic ran up behind King. "Oh my word!" He started helping the two uncover the person.

The Vortex Soldier heard footsteps behind him. He spun around, aiming his gun straight in front of him. "H-hel-" The soldier let out a gurgling sound as a blade-like object pierced through the back of his neck. The item was pulled out as the soldier fell on his face, blood pooling onto the ground around him as the footsteps echoed away.

A Dark Being emerged from the building..

(Remember, you shouldn't know it's there)

As the rocks were pulled away, a bright orange lock of hair, almost like the sun itself, was revealed. It rested over the cheek, parting under her jaw to reveal a rather deep cut on her shoulder. As the rest of the rocks were pulled away, she was finally free from her tomb. Her skin was also covered in faint scratches with her light grey vest sporting a couple of burn marks. She didn't look in very good condition.

(Alright so also when she's really wide awake and active she can be pretty uber. If this ubering isn't what you went then don't worry 'cuz there's loads and loads of ways to nullify it with this character.)

Spoiler:

"Dex, heal her as much as you can, and then you," King turned to the medic, "take her back to the base and help her ASAP."

The Dark Being started stalking around in the shadows, looking for any other intruders.

(Anyone there?)

(Meep sorry)

Dex

I was suddenly by her side and placed my hands over her. A faint glow appeared as her cuts and gashes began to heal and fade.

"Come on.. Come on.." King mumbled under his breath.

The Dark Being sneaked around another group of Vortex Soldiers.

(Wow... I was honestly surprised when I found out "snuck" wasn't a word just now...)

Although her wounds appeared to heal... she didn't seem to respond well. She started groaning, wincing and gritting her teeth like it was causing a lot of burning inside of her. For some reason it was causing her more pain than anything else.

"Stop! Stop!" King yelled at Dex. The medic ran up to her, getting ready to help her as best as he could.

The Dark Being suddenly teleported behind one of the Vortex Soldiers, stabbing him through the back of the head. The other two soldiers spun around, firing at the Dark Being. It dodged to the right, firing a dark energy beam through the chest of one of the soldiers, sending him to the ground, bleeding out. "Help! It's a Da-" The Vortex Soldier was cut off by the Dark Being slicing his throat open.

(That was into a radio, so everyone should know something is up now)

Dex

I suddenly pulled back. "The wounds seemed to heal but.. that hurt her for some reason." I sighed getting up and then suddenly heard a radio. "What was that?!"

"Shoot! I think we have company!" King turned to the medic, "Get here into the transport, now!" He pulled out his radio communicator, "Every squad, sound in, we have company! Make your way back to the transports!" King motioned for Dex to follow him as he ran outside, readying his weapon, to guard the building.

Dex

I followed him outside and looked around. "Do you think it's Dark Beings?"
