Sonic: The Apocalypse

King nodded, following after the medics to the hospital.

Dex

I followed after King glancing around.

The medics quickly hooked up the wounded soldiers to machines and started giving them medical attention. They also hooked up Kathlina, but only monitored her for a while as they didn't know what to do for her.

Kath appeared to be coping. Her eyes were closed again, a sign that she wasn't going to spend her energy trying to get up. There was certainly more than just an injury she was suffering from.

King approached Kathlina. He looked to the doctors, "How is she doing? Is there anything we can do?"
"We're.. Not sure.. She seems stable, now, but based on what Ryan* told us, we're not sure what we can do to help her out."

(*The medic who was with King and Dex)

Dex

I frowned looking her over. "Well I healed her cuts and bruises but something else seems to be problem.. I just don't know what it is though.."

Although her readings were stable, they were a little inconsistent... every 5 minutes or so there would be a sudden spike, where part of her body would twitch, like an ear or her hand.

(Okay I had this character planned to be in a long-term recovery state, so she'll be out for another few pages or so. I'll try and get another character in, so in the mean time you two may as well continue.)

(Righto :p)

"Well, just keep an eye on her," King said. The doctors nodded as King walked out of the room.

King started walking off down the halls, looking for any other soldiers who were wounded in the recovery mission.

Dex

I took one last glance and then followed King.

King came across the room of the cat they saved earlier. He slowly walked inside. The cat was asleep. King turned towards the nurse, "How is she?"
"She seems to be recovering well, but we've had to keep her sedated because she keeps trying to escape."
"Do you know why?"
"She said she had to find her brother."

Dex

I sighed glancing at her then at King. "What should we tell her.."

King frowned at Dex, "When she wakes up.. We tell her the truth..."

Dex

I nodded. "Do you want to or shall I?"

"I'll do it.. It's my base.." King said. He started to leave, seeing as she wouldn't wake up for a while.

Dex

I nodded slowly taking one last glance at her then left.

They quickly found all of the rooms with wounded soldiers, checking in on them and making sure they had everything they needed.

Dex

I followed checking on them. Any that were wounded I healed their cuts and bruises.

(Hellllo?)

Afterwards, King and Dex ended up in King's office. "We have to do something," King said to Dex as he sat down, "Sauron is expanding his territory."

Dex

I nodding sitting down. "Well we could launch a rather large assault on his base.. that should halt his expansion.."

"No, he's too strong for that.. We need to build up our defenses."

Dex

I shook my head. "I could use my men. If one dies they just vanish into nothingness... that way your men can stay safe."

King stood back up and started pacing the floor, "Sauron is still too powerful, though... Your men wouldn't do much.."

Dex

"My men don't just use guns they can use energy attacks as well. With the odd vehicle thrown in we can attack from all sides."
