Sonic: The Apocalypse

"I'm sorry, sir, but I can't let anyone inside without King's permission." The receptionist stayed away from the front of the desk, afraid that Klarc might try to harm her.

"..." Klarc looked tense, although he calmed himself down with some controlling of his breathing. Then, he just waited, his arms crossed.

King and Dex quickly showed up at the receptionist's desk. King looked Klarc up and down as soon as he saw him. He got the impression that Klarc was both tough, and could possibly be a problem. "Hello, I'm King, the leader of this refuge center here. What can I help you with?"

Klarc also scanned King... but he was a lot more thorough. He looked at his body posture, his clothing, the way he reacted, in particular looking into his eyes. So far, he didn't appear to be a threat to him, so he did his best not to act hostile in return. With a shrug, he replied.
"Just lookin' t' get cleaned up. I smell like crap 'n' look like crap. S'all." Although his voice wasn't Westernised in any sense, he preferred to shorten words at times.

"I think that can be arranged. Follow me." King said as he started to walk down a hallway.

Klarc followed... he kept a reasonable distance, but since he knew he would be being watched, he tried to be casual about everything.
"So how many people you got 'n'ere?" He took a brief look at his surroundings.

"In the hospital? A little less than a hundred." King looked back at Klarc, "So, where are you from? Are there any more of you?"

"Jus' me," Klarc took a look over his shoulder after responding, silently ignoring the first question. "I hope."

King stopped in his tracks and looked at Klarc, "You hope? Did someone attack you?" he asked, trying to figure out whether Klarc was saying that because he was attacked or if it was because he just hated people.

"Ehhhh..." He wasn't keen on giving out information, so he kept it short. "Old acquaintances." It was the only thing he wanted to spill right now.

King looked over Klarc for a second before motioning to a door near him, "The showers and everything you need should be in there."

"'Ite. Thank you." He went to walk in, but stopped himself. He seemed to be thinking about something troubling, until he just walked in and got on with his business.

King started to walk off, 'I don't think I trust him..'

Dex

I followed King glancing at the newcomer and then followed him again. "Hmm"

Once he was done, Klarc finally returned with his bag. Most of his scratches and cuts were more apparent, looking a lot more like cuts from razors than hostile wildlife. His hair wasn't all that much tidy, but he certainly looked cleaner than before. He knelt down to take a look through his bag again, only to find out he didn't have nearly as much food as he remembered.
"Don't s'pose it'll be a problem f'me to stay the next couple of nights?" He asked, looking a little more calm and collected now.

(Also is it alright if I include a couple of factions? They're both very small and won't come into the RP until later, and they won't have a significant impact on the story either.)

(Sure! That's the whole point of this RP, a bunch of faction wars. It's made for you to include your own factions)

"Yeah, that's fine, follow me." King answered before walking down the hall.

Klarc followed again, this time a little closer than he was to begin with. He took another look around, especially a peek over his shoulder just for safe measure, but continued on.
"This place don't look like it get attacked much." He commented, sounding just a little more... 'at home'.

"Yeah, we can hold our own here," King said as he kept walking down the hall.

"Anything?" ... One strangely normal voice underneath a savage-looking painted hockey mask spoke up behind another individual, apparently both of whom were part of the same gang. They both wore heavy clothing, strapped up and down with bottom-of-the-barrel military kit and survival kit. They both also had similar colour clothing, or at least a similar strip - Dark blue, with tips of white and yellow around bandages, cuffs, anything. They seemed more focused on looking like they actually belonged to a gang, instead of looking like what they really were: a group of desperate and dying individuals that were clinging on to anything that could help.
"No... nothing." The other stated, again with an oddly friendly-ish female voice. She stood up, taking her tribal-painted welding mask off to reveal a tired and restless grey sparrow, her beak with a chip on one side. She sighed heavily, looking into the distance. "We can't keep doing this... hopefully he's just dead by now."

"Well, here we are." King stopped in front of a room. He purposefully put him in the room nearest to the soldiers in case he turned out to be trouble.

"Much obliged." He walked in, taking a look around. He set his bag down by the side of the bed, taking his coat off as well... there was one particularly large burn scar on his back. He turned around, a very, very faint grin on his face.
"Well, sure am glad you've got all this. I won't be stayin' long, I hope."

"No problem.. If you need anything then just ask.. Including medical attention, you're in a hospital, you know," King said, looking at the scars on Klarc's body.

"Nah, I'm good... just tell me if anyone weird shows up." He asked. He didn't look back round to see how anyone would react, he just got on with getting comfy and looking through his bag once again.

"You got it," King turned his back and shut the door. He then went straight to the soldiers' rooms and started asking them to keep an eye on Klarc.

Once Klarc was back on his own, he took a look at something in his bag... it was a note. He scanned it, over and over again, just apparently trying to make sense of it. He eventually gave up, slipping it back into the pocket it came from and closed the bag up again. From there, he just remained in his own silence.
